Juvenile Court

 Organization

Biography

In 1904, the juvenile court was established, under the common pleas umbrella, with original jurisdiction in matters relating to minors. Juvenile court judges are elected for a six-year term.

The mission of Greene County Juvenile Court is to achieve these overriding purposes. This web page describes the services and programs offered by the court to carry out its mission. It is an honor for me and the court’s staff to serve the citizens of our community. Law directs the Juvenile Courts in our state to provide for the care, protection, and mental and physical development of children, to protect the public interest and safety, and to hold offenders accountable for their action, restore the victims, and rehabilitate the offenders.
